the new version of prism mirror lens' petzA fork is capable of loading external palettes per pet, acting essentially as a palette expansion.

this is a page to catalogue all publicly available palettes made by the community, both from various sites and community discords.
all credit goes to to individual palette makers for their work, and to peri of handbasket for making the template for the number charts.

click on the headers (name.bmp) to grab the .bmp and put it into your resource/palettes/ folder, or you can get everything at once below.
a note as this list expands: you can only have 255 palettes in your folders at a time. pick and choose which ones you need or sort them into folders with ezloader.

you can make your own palette in any program that can edit indexed colour charts. you'll have an easier time using something that can generate colour ramps/gradients, as that is the main meat of the petz palette.
the community's reccommendation is libresprite, here is a tutorial by mazz to get you started.

yes, you can use an edited version of this bmp file to load into the game as the palette, even though it is much larger than usual!

important colour indices you may want to pay attention to:
10 to 149 - texturable fur/paint bucket colour range
244 - outlines and irises
245, 201 - default eye whites in dogz and catz
2, 6, 203 - possible bred pet eye colour
171 to 178 - possible bred pet eye colour
1 - default tongue colour for several dogz
4 - wizard blue
253 - transparent
10, 20, 27, 244 - "draw as nose" ball gradient
